Kathryn Schumacher

Kathryn Schumacher is an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong background in general neurology and movement disorders. She was a registered nurse for 9 years in areas of neurology, neonatal intensive care unit, medical-surgical, pulmonary disorders before her passion of neurology led her to become a Family Nurse Practitioner. She then developed profound skills in neurology patient assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning, with a strong emphasis on patient education and evidence-based practice. She is renowned for fostering strong patient relationships and providing compassionate, high-quality care.

Kathryn earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) at University of Oklahoma in Oklahoma City, OK and her Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) at Middle Tennessee State University in Nashville, TN. She is a board certified nurse practitioner from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (FNP-C) and is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology, Texas Nurse Practitioners, and Texas Neurological Association. She is dedicated to continuous learning of advances in neurological care and providing the best practice for each individualized patient.

Outside of work, she enjoys cooking, baking, traveling, yoga, reading, and embracing the joys of toddlerhood with her 2 year old daughter. Her daughter also loves to help her take care of their 2 cats, 1 dog, and many plants.
